kamaliisea asked: To the person who wants to dye the tips of her hair pink: I have dirty blonde hair and I just did that. I didn't bleach the tips first and the color came out really cool! (There's pictures on my blog if you want to see.) I used Manic Panic's Hot Hot Pink on mine. If you use cotton candy pink you will have to bleach it first. Happy dip-dyeing! (:

lilac-lavender asked: At hushdear: I use to straighten my hair each day, but then I got sick of it and started to braid it each night, and after a few weeks I decided to straighten it because my family and I were going out somewhere, so when I did my hair was so so so much longer, So I do believe that braiding it each night does make it longer :)

lymphatos asked: Haha yea I've tried, but my hair is badly damaged so it didn't grow. But my cousin would do her hair in a braid all the time and well it kinda worked, her hair grew a bit longer.

Anonymous asked: Braiding at night helps hair grow faster by limiting friction while you toss and turn so you retain health and length. So I think it makes sense.

lymphatos asked: I've heard that braiding your hair every night makes it grow a bit faster. I don't know, that's what I've been told.

seekingstephaniee asked: She would be so much better off buying a completely new set of extensions at a light blonde! Then dying them to the desired hair colour (darker blonde). Try to use Semi-permanent hair dye too as the hair should hold onto the colour better !

doctordooom asked: this is in response to the posts about colouring extensions- if you can't get a perfect match, it's always better to just get lighter ones and colour them, lightening won't come out nearly how you want. it's not that the hair will get totally ruined, it's just that its hard to get a perfect match while lightening if you aren't a colourist

seekingstephaniee asked: In regards to the girl dying her hair extensions lighter, this is a massive no no! You can not dye extensions to a lighter shade, as this will cause damage to the extensions. They may lighten a shade or two, but will never reach the desired colour, as they are no longer growing human hair they react differently and will not repair as normal human hair does, they will just fry and cause loss of...

helfensiemir asked: To the girl with the wavy long hair!: You need to cut your layers shorter. It's not wavy at the top because your hair is so heavy. <3 I bet it's sooo beautiful though, I love wavy long hair!

tinyvolcano asked: I have dark brown hair that is fairly long, about 4 inches past my shoulders. It is naturally wavy but never on my top layers which are past my chin. Do you know why this is? Do you have any tricks on how to make it wavy all over?

Anonymous asked: to the girl who said that it doesn't matter how long you wait between coloring your hair... it does. she's not a professional, she doesn't know. i would never let someone go home with damaged hair from bleaching hair from a level 3 (dark hair) to a level 8 (blonde hair) in one day. it would damage the hair too much. in a couple weeks, after the cuticle has closed up and natural...

desenuts asked: I'm not a professional but this is just my opinion. I'm into cosmetology and watch many videos and read many blogs, since extensions are not living hair it doesn't matter how long you wait between dying because it's not going to 'heal' itself and go back to it's natural way, all in all it wouldn't matter if she colored it tomorrow or in a month. Just my...

Anonymous asked: Actually, either way is correct (dying or coloring). My mother has owned a salon since she was twenty (she is now in her later thirties), she's been to 'beauty school', goes back every few years to freshen up her knowledge, and she has heard it both ways. I've noticed certain places in the world call it one thing rather than the other, it really only matters where you're...

feelmyexistence asked: I noticed people say this a lot in your ask, and I just wanted to point out that "dying" your hair is not the correct term. You "color" your hair, not dye it. Just helping a brother out ;)

fisttheinfant asked: Hey! I asked yesterday about bleaching hair extensions :) I was already in the process of doing it when I asked (but I wasn't seeing much change) When i washed it out it did lighten the color a bit but now they are a weird light brown color. Do you think It would be a good idea if i just wait a few days and bleach them again?
